Just when I thought we could never finish all the new projects began by our marketing guru - Dee Farrell. I remember her parting comment at a farewell dinner at Colours the night before she left Costa Rica for a new assignment in New York City..."well, let's just wait and see what will be the next thing to happen with all the cosmic energy we have been stirring up these past six weeks..."
Not to my surprise and within a day, I received an email from Michael Labelle, a gay travel writer, planning to come do an update article on gay Costa Rica for The Guide Magazine.
Now, with just a little more than a week before his arrival, I am finalizing an incredible gay FAM tour of the OUTposts of the new gay & friendly venues in the Southern Zone. After beginning from his homebase of Colours Oasis Resort in San Jose, we plan visits to the new Las Aguas Jungle Lodge in the mountains near San Isidro del General, Hotel Cuna del Angel near Dominical Beach, Calathea Lodge in the Osa Peninsula and Monte Azul just north of the pineapple plantacions in Talamanca range of the Southern Zone.
We will open Michael's eyes to just some of the many varied gay welcoming destinations in "The Wilds of Costa Rica", before returning back to his homebase of Colours in San Jose for exposure to our lively gay nightlife in the Capital City.
Finally, to complete his current visit, he will spend several more days to rest up at Manuel Antonio in Hotel Villa Roca before returning to his hectic life in the old USA.
We know Michael will have much to write about and we will do everything in our power to get him back soon to continue his journeys to the Atlantic Side, San Carlos - Arenal and many locales in Guanacaste -northern Pacific.
